1949 Fisher Body Service & Construction Manual - "A" Series Bodies - For Chevrolet, Pontiac and Oldsmobile ONLY

For our Chevrolet, Pontiac and Oldsmobile friends searching the BHA's electronic Research Archive for Fisher Body reference materials, we have this 8-1/2" x 11", 157-page, Black & White, heavily illustrated with photographs, Fisher Body Service Manual.  Edited by the Fisher Body Service Division of General Motors Corporation.  Published for educational use in body service shops of Chevrolet, Pontiac and Oldsmobile car dealers.  This manual explains in illustrated detail the construction of the new "A" body styles for the year 1949 and covers the basic metal construction and formation of these bodies as well as body hardware parts, trim, removal and installation of hardware parts, wiring diagrams, service features, and a complete chapter devoted to the Hydro-Lectric System used for operating the top on convertible coupes.  Also covers the new curved windshield glass and method of installation, construction and installation of door locks, striker plates, door ventilators, hinges and door handles.
