Buick Veterans - Your Job at Buick.

24-page booklet.  Black & White.  RARE.  Very well illustrated with excellent photography.  5-1/4" x 7-1/2".  This booklet is dated October, 1945.  A 1945 letter from the Buick Motor Division to former Buick employees that were serving their country in the armed forces during WWII read as follows: "To Buick People in the Service: Please accept this book as part of the welcome which awaits you at Buick.  The primary purpose of this book is to tell you about your job at Buick, and to let you know what we are doing to help you get back on your job.  To expedite the process of taking on thousands of ex-service people, it was necessary to establish an efficient procedure which would give due consideration to each applicant as an individual.  Buick already has been privileged to help many hundreds of ex-service people make the transition from military life back to their jobs.  We want to be of service to you, because Buick appreciates what you have done for your country."  The last page of this document carries the slogan, "Welcome Home to Buick."  Here at the BHA, we had not seen a copy of this rare booklet until Mr. Landow's donation of it.  If you have an interest in Buick's steadfast commitment to our WWII veterans, this booklet is for you.
